This is what inspired these two female engineering graduates from Stanford. They looked at the low percentage of girls entering into higher education in fields relating to STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) and were inspired to create a range of toys that would appeal to girls with these concepts in mind. Their idea was to combine a way girls could engage in story-telling in their play while having hands on experience in problem solving, spacial and fine motor skills.
